Timer http://www.kstroke.com/projects/nerdy/timer.php Steve Song - kstroke@kstroke.com ============================= Installation ============================= OS: Windows Windows Media Player: Version 9 or greater Google Desktop Version: 3 or greater Double-click Timer.msi to install the plug-in. Uninstall the plug-in through the Add or Remove Programs action in the Windows control panel. ============================= Usage ============================= To create and start a new timer, open the panel's menu and select New Timer. To set a subsequent timer/alarm's options, open the panel's menu and select Options. To stop an active or expired alarm double-click it. This also stops the sound. To stop and reset an active or expired timer double-click it. This also stops the sound. Loop only repeats the sound and not the timer. To execute a command when the timer expires, set the command property. ============================= Known Issues ============================= A meaningless number is seen at the top of the details view. The sound file for one timer will stop rather than play over the sound file for a previously expired timer. Stopping an expired timer with an associated sound file will stop a currently playing sound. This is because the timer only uses a single Windows Media Player object rather than creating one for each timer. This is a design choice. There seems to be an issue with not being able to open the options window if you don't have Windows Media Player 9 or greater. Don't know why this happens. Just upgrade your version of Windows Media Player. ============================= Version History ============================= v.2 - Fixed years & days non-parsing bug - Added stopwatch timer type - Better handling of time/date format error - More descriptive error messages for time/date format error - Description displays with time instead of just on the details view - Existing timer properties can now be changed - Different icon sets can be chosen v.1 - Created. Yay.
